About

I have always painted, drawn and created things from a young age. I have always loved colour and mark making or copying things I liked from nature or from books.

I am currently studying for my A-Levels. I have been lucky enough to be able to attend a boarding school in Dorset via an art scholarship and bursary. I visit the art room early in the morning - from when the cleaners unlock the door - and I have access in the evening and weekends, so it is nice to have access to my space/studio at all times and have teachers that encourage me.

I exhibited at the R.A. Summer Exhbition in 2019. At only 10 years old, the youngest person to do this. Royal Academy Summer Exhibition

I have an interest in portrait painting and do get asked more frequently for commissions as people see my work, this can be school friends, their families or my own family. My first commission was at age 8, drawing locals in a Corfu taverna.

For the last few years I have been attending a weekly portrait class with Anthony Connolly, president of the Royal Portrait Society. See recent examples of this

Before Covid hit I attended a few oil painting lessons with Joshua Waterhouse RP at his studio in London, after seeing his work in 2018 at the RP exhibition held in May annually on the Mall. See this

I also like still life and landscape painting. I have grandparents in St. Ives, so I am a frequent visitor to the galleries there. I recently visited Amsterdam to see the Dutch still life paintings, the Vermeer exhibition and Rembrandts' house was an eye opener.
